One line
HIS Gathered is a series of twelve novels of the Book of Mormon by G. B. Merkley: the verse word for word, then the story of the people who were there.
One paragraph
HIS Gathered is a series of twelve novels of the Book of Mormon by G. B. Merkley. Nine books follow Lehi's family from Jerusalem through a thousand years of the record, as two brothers' children become two peoples, each sure it is in the right. Three more follow the record out of the ground, walk the whole human story to the day Christ comes again, and tell the story of the family the record came to. In the Book of Mormon novels, every chapter opens with the verse it lives inside, quoted exactly, and the story fills in the people the record is silent about. It is written for every believer in Christ, and for anyone who loves a family saga.
At length
HIS Gathered is a series of twelve novels of the Book of Mormon by G. B. Merkley. It begins in Jerusalem, six hundred years before Christ, when Lehi takes his family into the wilderness on the word of the Lord. His sons become two peoples, each sure it is in the right, and nine books follow both sides of that family for a thousand years, to a record buried in a hill. Three more follow the record out of the ground, walk the whole human story to the day Christ comes again, and tell the story of the family the record came to.
In the Book of Mormon novels, every chapter opens with the verse it lives inside, exactly as written. Where the record is silent, the story fills in the people who were there: their families, their work, and the choices that carry on into the next generation. The author's notes mark which is scripture and which is story.
The name says who it is for: everyone who believes in Jesus Christ, gathered into one fold under one shepherd, whatever church they sit in. It is written for readers from thirteen to eighty. The books will be read on Papalocal, and all twelve open together when the last one is finished.
