Why I'm writing this

The goal is a Chosen-style story for the Book of Mormon: true to the book, with the gaps filled in by a story that keeps you reading. It teaches, but not in a preachy way. It's more: if this was real life, and it really happened, let's make it real.

I'm writing for anyone from thirteen to eighty, so that as many people as possible can learn more of Christ, and see themselves, their families, their culture and their choices in these pages. The Book of Mormon lets you see your own life from the outside: how the decisions of a person, a family, a culture and a nation have consequences, and how the bad ones can be avoided by living close to Christ and repenting.

There is no single hero from the first book to the last. What holds the story together is what holds the record together: the record itself, passed from one keeper to the next; the families we come to love at the beginning, followed through the generations after them; and Christ, the whole way through.

HIS Gathered means what it says: gathering His, everyone who believes in Jesus Christ. One fold. One shepherd.
